Confused Terms

I think that you are confusing your terminology. A lawsuit is a civil action usually seeking monetary relief for any injury or wrong. The District Attorney’s Office prosecutes persons who are accused of committing crimes. You are either involved in a criminal action against the DJ or you mean the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office. The Attorney General represents the Commonwealth in both civil and criminal actions.

In any event, if you have a civil case against the DJ the involvement of the DA usually will not preclude you from moving forward with your case. However, you may face delays depending on the nature of the suit and the Court’s Rulings. GOOD LUCK TO YOU.
