starting a legal petition for skateboard park for kids

need to know how to start this petition,city council has made it illeage for kids to use public property .American legion going to donate land but have to have pulic interest and support.just need some helpful pionters, what to look and watch out for thanks .

There is no magic to a petition. It describes the action at the top [Petition to city council to establish skate-board park] and then has lines and spaces for citizens to sign with printed name, address and phone.

It is usually best to be sure a petition is signed only by registered voters in the district where the park will be established.
