Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania

being sued for dui hit

Boyfriend being sued for hitting someone while dui. It's in excess of $50,000 with a jury demanded. Is he up the creek without a paddle or will the insurance company handle it? What should he expect?

Re: being sued for dui hit

The insurance company might not handle it if he was drunk. In other words, they may deny coverage. If they don't deny coverage, they will supply an attorney. If they DO deny coverage, he should absolutely retain an attorney as soon as possible. If suit has already been filed, he should talk to an attorney immediately before the time to respond is over. Have him call our offices.
