cell phone contract
I am the primary account holder on a cell phone account that was used by my now ex boyfriend. He was taken off as an authorized user in a previous separation and when united again, he was never formally put back on as an authorized user. In my now current attempt to cancel this contract i was told that a) in February i called in with him and placed him back on as an authorized user (he knows the last 4 digits of my social) and i would remember doing such a thing and b) i was told that he renewed the contract for 2 years without even asking me. Currently we are no longer together and i wanted to know if i had any flexibilities within this situation given the extreme lack of verification that tmobile requests of their contract holders.

You asked about a phone contract.
It's not an insurmountable problem, but you'll need to be persistent and diligent.
First thing to do is probably change your social security number. It's not hard to do but you will need to make sure that everyone that needs to know the new number is informed (employer, insurers, healthcare providers, etc.)
In order to deal with the cell phone provider you will probably have to file charges against the ex for identity theft. Then deal with the cell phone provider. They can't enforce a contract that you didn't make. They should have a recording of the phone call and should be willing to provide a copy subject to a subpoena.
This isn't something to take lightly. Your ex has proven he is a dirtbag and has already broken the law and cost you time and money. Do not let him continue and don't worry about the consequences to him. He brought this on himself. It's time for you to protect you.
