Legal Question in Technology Law in Pennsylvania
I had a security agreement with an apartment complex. They said if I ever cancelled, then I lose my security deposit.
I notified them saying I was displeased with them after 2 weeks of not hearing from them. They said I cancelled my apartment application via emial with my comments.
my question is can a signed contract be broken by email notification? Keeping in mind that I never verbally cancelled, I never signed anything saying I cancelled, and I was using a free email account so there wasnt even verification that I was actually the one who sent it.
I mean you can set up a free account with any name you want through yahoo
Since I signed a contract with them agreeing that they would give me an apartment as long as i didnt cancel, do i still get my apartment or at least do i have an argument to get my money back?

Re: Email
either you sent it or not. If you sent it , and it I wouold need to see what was said. However, you will need to go to court to solve this problem, unless you can agree otherwise with the complex
