Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Pennsylvania
Rights to an Attorney
I understand that if a person is arrested, they have the
right to an attorney, and if they cannot afford it, one will
be provided for them. Does this constitutional right only
matter if you are arrested? I am being sued for some
property damage I caused in an Auto Accident and I am
unable to afford a lawyer. Do I have the right to one for
free since I can't afford it?

No. The Right to Counsel applies only in criminal actions.
Contact your local bar association. They have a list of lawyers who will work for free or at reduced rates.
