Legal Question in Construction Law in Pennsylvania
Had a General Contractor who hired a sub-contractor to tile a master bathroom with a curbless shower. The water in the shower flows OUT of the shower toward the middle of the bathroom. Contractor say not his fault - sue the sub-contractor. We have a court date with the General Contractor. who is responsible to pay for this to be fixed?
1 Answer from Attorneys
ANSWER: Clearly, the General Contractor is liable to you for the improper workmanship of his/hers/its Subcontractor. Since you have no contract privity with the Subcontractor, the GC is liable and collectible. Let him/her or it go after the Sub.
Good luck!
