Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

auto repairs

purchased 2 new catalytic converters at pep boys and had installed. Later found out from Midas that one catalytic converter was damaged during installation and other one was also not installed properly. PepBoys say they want to make it right, but do we deserve more? If the problem had not been caught before our next emissions inspection, we would have failed and been told to replace the catalytic converter again, like last year. I am waiting for a call from pepboys manager. I want them to pay for and fix all their mistakes. I feel like my trust in them was broken. How would they not know they broke the peice while installing it? It was so obvious to Midas when they checked on the installation. We had it checked because of a noise when turning the wheels. The noise is catalytic converter pipe hitting wheel axel from improper installation. Should I call a lawyer?

Re: auto repairs

What more do you deserve? Quantify it. Did you miss work? Did you lose out on some business deal because you were sitting at the repair shop? You could call an attorney if you feel strongly call an attorney but realize it may cost you more to hire the attorney than to pursue the repair shop.
