Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania
I booked a hotel for $295. I received the Confirmation Number by email. Now, eleven days later when it is too late to book a room elsewhere, the hotel informs me that the rate was incorrect and that it is $100 more. Are they legally bound to honor the rate for which I have a confirmation number?

I would have to see the terms and conditions, regardless of the fact that you got a confirmation number. Was this from the hotel itself or a third-party service, like Hotwire, Expedia or Priceline.com? Where was the hotel located? Laws might be governed by that state, not your laws.
Who made the mistake, you or them? Depending on what the terms say, I would contact the manager of the hotel and see what can be negotiated, especially if this was not your fault coupled with the fact that they failed to notify you earlier. Are you likely to be a repeat customer (do you travel on business? You might have more luck if you could say. truthfully, that you travel to this place on business every so often and always stay at this place. In that case, the hotel would have more of an incentive to keep your business).
