Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Car Inspection

I had my car in to be inspected on Wed, March 28. It had $694 worth of repairs to it, most of which dealt with brakes, tires, etc. I had to go to Canton, Oh on March 30 for a meeting. 3/4 of the way there, my brake light came on, and by the time I go to my destination, I had very little brakes. This happened because they put a hose on the was right against the rear left tire and it rubbed through. I had to have my car towed to a nearby Midas to be re-fixed. What are my options for this type of problem, I could have be killed very easily

Re: Car Inspection

I am sorry to hear that you had that happen. It is frustrating to pay that kind of money and not get what you paid for. When it comes to a claim, you should show the repair company the paperwork from Second Repair Company, and ask that they refund the money paid. I realize that you could have killed someone, but that will not support a lawsuit for damages that did not occur. Thankfully no one was hurt. The first repair company should be very receptive. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact me.
