Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania
Car Inspection
I had my car in to be inspected on Wed, March 28. It had $694 worth of repairs to it, most of which dealt with brakes, tires, etc. I had to go to Canton, Oh on March 30 for a meeting. 3/4 of the way there, my brake light came on, and by the time I go to my destination, I had very little brakes. This happened because they put a hose on the was right against the rear left tire and it rubbed through. I had to have my car towed to a nearby Midas to be re-fixed. What are my options for this type of problem, I could have be killed very easily

Re: Car Inspection
I am sorry to hear that you had that happen. It is frustrating to pay that kind of money and not get what you paid for. When it comes to a claim, you should show the repair company the paperwork from Second Repair Company, and ask that they refund the money paid. I realize that you could have killed someone, but that will not support a lawsuit for damages that did not occur. Thankfully no one was hurt. The first repair company should be very receptive.
