civil action/collection company suing over debt
i had a credit card account for many years. There were fraudulant charges on this card. I was a victim of identity theft. This acct. went to a collection company and now they are suing me for 16, 000 +4000 legal fees. I've received a notice to defend..How do I get this case to disappear?

The first thing that you need to do is contact the CC company and advise them of the fraud. They will have a fraud questionairre that they will ask you to fill out. The second thing would be to contact your local police department and file a police report. These are the typical first steps in a CC fraud matter.
