Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

contractor

I have a contractor that will not come back a fix a project that was not corret. it is a sidewalk and some steps that are slanted and a harzard to walk on. (Note not a public sidewalk) what rights do i have. He has his money. what can I do now?

The first thing to do is to prepare a letter of claim against this contractor. Outline everything he did, and everything you want done to fix it. Make sure you (1) ask for repair; (2) ask them to contact you within a certain period of time; and (3) ask them to fix it within a certain period of time. It sounds like the contractor breached the agreement. You may sue the contractor. If the amount in question is under $8,000.00 this can be done in small claims court. You should write the contractor a letter send it both by certified and ordinary mail. Be sure to keep a copy

If he doesnt respond within a reasonable time then you should pursue the legal action. if you would like a consultation to discuss this further please contact me.
