Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania
legality of forced public sewage
Is there a law in pennsylvania that can force an individual to go on a public sewage system when that individual already has a state approved functioning system, the community I live in has just built or added on to the public sewage system and has made it mandatory for to hook up to this, and as of now if you are not hooked on you must still pay a bill for sewage and must be hooked on by a certain time or receive fines or a lean on you property. could you please tell me if this is legal in pennsylvania? Thank you

Yes, you can be required to hook into a municipal sewerage system. However, you cannot be charged for using sewerage system that you're not hooked into.
