Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Mental Anguish, pain and suffering

I attended a school that promised an associate degree and help with grants. To make a long story short, they lied to all of the students about the degree, after numerous instructors, including the students in the program helped to make this program compliant with state regulations. I graduated with a diploma after 18 months of school, and since then my life has been destroyed. I am homebound and have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress disorder, Anxiety, and Severe Depression. I am on medication and I see a psychiatrist and a therapist. It has ruined a good relationship with my future husband, and I have so many anger problems and mood problems that my family doesn't want me around. Please help me, I have a lawyer who is ignoring me, not returning my calls and I am supposed to file a suit but I haven't heard anything in 3 months. Every letter my lawyer sent has been laughed at like they don't understand the severity of the situation. I don't know what to do. It haunts me everyday. I owe $25,000.00 for the student loans. Please help me! Please, I am begging for help. I am afraid the stress might put me in the hospital. Please help me. Thank You

Re: Mental Anguish, pain and suffering

It is a shame that your attorney is not responding to you as you wish but he or she may be doing a great job for you. He or she may have a full case load and may not have enough time to devote to "holding your hand." As for the school laughing at his letters, that is very common. The school as most defendants want to stall the matter as long as possible. The longer they put off paying the more likely it is that you will go away and leave them alone and if you do not leave them alone then the longer they get to keep their money. Talk this all out with your therapist. However, you should have an attorney that you are comfortable with you may want to shop around. If you get to that point where you want to speak with an attorney feel free to contact me.
