Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania
"If a minor donates a valuable piece of art to her school, and subsequently they allow it to be defaced by students, can she request it back or is it firmly theirs. There was no original paperwork or thank you letter acknowledgement. Thank you, Joni

If I give you a birthday present and you sell it to your friend instead of keeping it, can I ask for it back? Of course not. Once something is gifted, its gifted.
Having said that, if there were any conditions placed on the donation, such as, " I want this back in 10 years" or "I want this back if you don't take care of it" then you could possibly get it back.
It would be a tough claim to pursue under any circumstance.
