Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Minors contract

My sixteen year old daughter bought a dress for $300.00. Thirty minutes later I tried to return it. They refused citing a no return policy. Does she have the right to invalidate the sale and ignore the return policy because she is a minor?

Re: Minors contract

You can certainly take the store to court to compel them to accept the return. Minors generally do not have the capacity to contract. Look into small claims court in you area. The prothonotary should be able to help you with the filing. Good luck.
