Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

I purchased a car in my name for my stepson who was making the payment. He is now 3 months behind on payments & the car is going to be repossessed. Can I take the car from my stepson & make the payment to stop repossession. Am I able at that time to keep the car or would I have to repay him for what he has paid into it?

As the registered owner, you are the boss. If you are able to bring the acount current with the bank/lender, you should be able to put off repossession. As you are the owner of the vehicle you should be able to just take possession of the car. If he feels you owe him money, he can sue you in Didtrict Justice (small claims) Court, but his failure to make payments injures you and yuor credit rating. You should contact the lender immediately to pay off any past due amopunts to avoid repossession.
