Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Refusal of Payment

Failure to supply healthy kitten in return for trade.

Breeder at first agrees to make momentary compensation by monthly payments, and pay balance on or before March 1, 2005. Besides not making the minimum amount per payment she lacks making all monthly payments (to date two months short).

When balance is due and requested breeder casually mentions she has a bankruptcy lawyer, stating ''should you have questions concerning continued monthly payments you should contact my bankruptcy lawyer'' adding she would send a payment the end of the week. That was well over a week ago. I live in Portugal, what recourses do I have within the legal system without necessitating me going to America for full restitution?

Thank-You for your Time and Attention,

Re: Refusal of Payment

Next time get all of the money in advance for any such transaction! If you live overseas any action on your behalf would seemingly be a waste unless the amount paid for the cat was in the thousand dollar plus range. This is because it will cost you at a minimum at least $100.00 for filing fees, in addition you would be out several hunder dollars for legal representation...and then you need to worry about collecting the money which would cost you extra $$$....live and learn!
