Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania
Statute of Limitations for Dental bills
Hello, I recieved an letter from a collection company regarding A dental bill from 1998. I wrote back with a validation letter because I never recieved any statements, invoices correspondance from the Dentist. They sent me back a statement from 1998 for services rendered in 1997 and 1998. Also a medical questionare form I signed in 1996 which says nothing regarding payments. They are trying to get me for $1200.00 over and above what the insurance company paid them. On top of that they are trying to collect over $500.00 in interst fees. In checking my credit report the Doctor or somone has placed a negative remark on my credit report. Any ideas, is the staute 4 years in Pa.and how do I get it off my credit. Thanks
