Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

warranty

My son works for best buy, and they have an online auction site where he bought a refrigerator for my husband and I in March, it is now August, and it does not work. Repairman said it would have to be replaced. LG wont back their warranty because we bought it on at an auction. But their book says 1 year from date of purchase nothing about where you buy it. it was a 2006 brand new in the box side by side refrigerator. I dont have the money to replace it myself. What can we do?
