900 number phone calls
My brother was living with me, and he had made some adult phone sex calls without my knowledge. Now that phone sex company is saying they can sue me for the money since the calls were made from my phone. Before my brother moved in I had 900 and 976 numbers blocked and also told my brother not to make those kind of calls. He was albe to get around it by having an account opened with this phone sex company and had an invoice mailed to himself since the calls couldn't be charged to the phone number. Am I resposable for this bill? The phone sex company said they are going to sue me, can they?

Re: 900 number phone calls
If the phone sex company agreed to allow your brother to open an account, and not to bill the ccalls to the phone number, you cannot be sued for collection of the bills unless the phone sex company can ptove that you agreed to guaranty payment on the account which, based upon the facts you state, does not appear to be the case.
