Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
Auto Finance
The amount that my finance company has for me is more than my signed contract states. It has been almost 120 days of fighting with them. I have held the last payment and told them that if they dont fix the error I will stop paying all together. If the loan amount they set up differs from the contract is it a valid loan? They are also unaware that I am in possesion of the title with no lien holder listed. Do I have the advantage or should I cave and agree tho the higher amount they have listed.

If you have the title, you have the upper hand. You may also have a Truth in Lending Act defense if they sue. However, there may be a valid explanation and, especially if the difference is small, I'd be reluctant to go to court without hearing their side of the story.
