Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

If a bank accidentally sends you the title but it isn't paid off is it legally yours? I live in PA and I owe money on it but received a title from the state free and clear nobodies name on it but mine, no second or third party listed on the title..it's free and 100% clear!! What do I have to do legally?

Nothing. But if you know that it was a mistake, you have an ethical duty to let the car lender know. And if you still owe money on it you have an ethical duty to pay.

The lender is going to find out when you fail to send in your next payment. Or did they stop sending statements as well?

You have an ethical decision, not a legal one. You have to do whatever you feel is correct. However, I will caution that if the bank discovers the error, it will seek to get a court order if needed to reassert the lien depending on how much is still owed.
