bank account frozen

bought a 2000 car in 2001. car wrecked in 2001. could not make payments, called lender, car to be repos'd. car setting same place since 2001.no one ever came. now a lawyer had a sheriff freeze my account. have no money and on direct deposit. car still at same place. never heard from anyone till now.

That does not sound right. In order to get a judgment the lender had to serve you with a Complaint. The lender would need a judgment to freeze your account.
