Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

car dealer will not take my car back

I bought a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for $4000. I have had it for 6 months and the motor went. I called Car Lotta Credit where I had bought the car. They only repair cars if they still have a warranty. I had the car towed back to my home. I have emailed them asking them to please come and take their car back. I refuse to make anymore payments on it. They advertise that they sell good reliable cars. Give me a break. Is it legal to give them the car back & make no more payments?

Re: car dealer will not take my car back

Nope, you are on the hook unless there was some type of fraud involved. You may want to have a mechanic look at the vehicle to see if they jury rigged the motor, if the odometer was turned back, or if there are any other facts that indicate some type of fraud or misrepresentation was involved.
