car downpayment
Last august i bought a car from a new car dealership. i put a thousand dollars down cash and cannot find the receipt. now after 9 months the dealership is saying they have no records of my downpayment and want me to pay it again. What are my options?

There are four. First, forget about it. Second, find the receipt. Third, file a complaint with your local magisterial district judge. Four, find the person at the dealership who accepted the $1,000.00 and ask them to verify your downpayment. The problem with the third option is one of proof. The person who accepted the $1,000.00 may no longer be at the dealership.
