can a collection agency come into your place of employment???

Definitely not. They cannot even threaten it. If they do either, threaten or actually come in, then you have an FDCPA violation against them. You would have the ability to file a claim against them for debt collection violations. The great thing about the FDCPA is that the debt collector pays your attorney fees. You end up with a free attorney.
