Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Collection Calls

I am receiving collections calls for someone I do not know who gave my phone number out as hers. 7 just last evening! My husband and I have tried to explain that we are the persons of record for the phone number for the past 30 years and have no idea who this person is. Of course they don't believe us. What can we do?

Re: Collection Calls

Ask for the name of the collector and the creditor. Tell them not to bother you anymore or you will file a Complaint with the local Magisterial District Justice. If they continue to bother you, file a Complaint against the collector.
