Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

collection

A man came to our door and asked to cut down and remove trees from our property. He verbally agreed to pay us $700. He brought in equipment and began cutting and stacking the trees. My husband and I were not home much of the time because my husband had to go to cardiac therapy three days a week. The man removed his equipment and the trees one day while we were at therapy. He did not pay us. He refuses to answer our calls or messages. Do we have any legal grounds to recover the $700?

Re: collection

Sure you do. Breach of contract and conversion, for starters. A consult with an attorney will determine if you have any other any causes of action.
