Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

collection of money

I did an electrical job for a contractor and he didnt pay me he went bankrupt, the house was taken back by the company that backed the house i didnt get the final inspection on the house to keep it from settling the company that took the house back called me and wanted the inspection done. my question is can I hold the inspection up since I did the work for the company that went bankrupt and the ones sellig the house are the backers

I really can't answer. I don't know what you mean by "backed the house" or if the electrical contractor was the owner or merely a contractor working for the owner. If it was a mortgaqe company and they got the property back by foreclosure and Sheriff's sale that is completely different than a situation where the contractor was working on a house for someone else. In any event, whoever is trying to get the inspection done is trying to close on the house and I think they will gladly agree to pay you for your work so that the buyers won't have to worry about the possibility of a lien on the property. Again, I'm not sure of the question and I think you should talk to a local attorney to get a clear answer.
