Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

collections listing

Hello,

I just looked at his transunion credit report. As of a few days ago they listed a Amex collection account he paid back in may. Is this legal? Also they listed 2 paid collections from his 2 chase accounts. He settled the 2 chase accounts directly with chase. They never went to a collection agency. He used debt settlement to pay the debts in three payments from may to july.Is he also able to sue for damages if these listings are illegal? He kept all the paperwork for the accounts.

Thank You for your time.

Re: collections listing

The listing would still be legal but he can challenge them with the credit reporting companies and if the account holder is satisfied it will probably be taken off.
