Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

consumer loans

Ok, we were sued by citicorp. We filed a appeal against the judgement. Its been 2+years and now the court sent a letter stating they are removing it due to no activity, becuz citicorp hasnt proceeded. Now, we can either go forward or just let the court remove it. My question is simply, if it gets removed, then does the original judgement stand again, or is EVERYTHING dismissed as if it never happened?

thank you

Re: consumer loans

You asked about an appeal.

The court is about to dismiss your appeal. You must do something or the appeal will be dismissed. If that happens then the original judgment stands, and you will likely be unable to reopen the appeal.

Contact an attorney to handle the matter post-haste.

Roger

I answered the second question before I read this. If you are correct in saying that the court is indicating it is going to dismiss the case due to inactivity, then what you filed was not an appeal, it was an answer. The two are different. If you filed an answer and the court is going to dismiss the case due to inactivity, then there is no judgment. On the other hand, if you filed an appeal and the court is going to dismiss the appeal due to inactivity, then your appeal is going to be dismissed, not the case itself.
