Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Credit Bills

Mother-in-law has high credit card balances. Receives social security.

Lives with my wife and I. She pays her bills through a checking account. Our names are on the account. If she would pass, are we responsible for her debts since are names are on her account? She has no estate.
