Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Credit Card Debt Judgement

Capital one has gotten a judgement against me. I was never served papers to come to court. I have become permanently disabled and can not afford to pay this judgement. What are the recourses left to me, if any.

My only source of income is disability.

Re: Credit Card Debt Judgement

Your question does not indicate when an a judgement was obtained. Was it in a district Court or a court of Common Pleas. Have they entered a jedgement or do you still have time to appeal the decision. if a judgement was entered and there was some defect in the legal process ie failure to serve you etc perhaps you can have the judgement stricken or open. In any event you must act quickly to see what your situation is in the matter. I suggest you contact an attorney immediately.
