Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
RE: Credit Card Debt
I am being sued by capital one over old credit card debt (not old enough to be outside of the SOL). I am not quite sure of the best way to proceed. If I should retain an attorney or what else I should be doing. The debt is around $3500. With interest and court costs both ranging between 700-800 hundred dollars a piece
I do owe this debt and there really is no good reason I haven't paid it. By the time I could begin to repay the money Cap One wanted an outrageous sum to keep my account from being charged off. I was willing to pay 500 monthly and they told me there was no point in sending such a trivial sum. There was no way I could afford anything more.

Re: RE: Credit Card Debt
if you had an attorney, they can probably negotiate a much lower amount on your behalf! no one likes to deal with attorneys and that fear factor alone pushes cases to settlement much faster. for a reasonable amount, we can negotiate this price to an amount u can afford.
