Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Credit card allows internet to rip us off

An ISP was canceled months ago but lately took out of my credit card for two months services. Even though I told my credit card co. they refused to take it off. It over drew my account and now I have to pay an over charge. They call me at least once or twice a day . What can I do about this? Please keep in mind I did not owe the ISP nothing. The credit card co. refused to do anything about it and is still charging me.

Thank You

Re: Credit card allows internet to rip us off

Dear Sir or Madam:

While it is unfortunate that the Internet company has billed your credit card company in error it would be a very expensive proposition to file suit against the Internet carrier . You would incur more attorneys fees than it is worth. However, it is clear that you need to correct this situation. It may be easier for an atorrney to settle this problem with the credit casrd company and th einternet carrier to avoid begiven the consumer run around. If you would like to retain my services for this matter I would anticipate that it would require a few phone calls and letters to correspond. My hourly rate is $90 per hour. Please let me know if I can assist you in this matter.

Dear Sir/Madam: You should consult an attorney in the state in which you live for a definitive answer If you lived in Pennsylvania I would suggest that you contact your former ISP by letter and tell them that they have 30 days to refund the overcharge and to pay your bank charges or they will face legal action. Send a copy of the letter to your credit card company. In thirty days, you should pay the charge and sue the ISP for the overcharge and the late charges.
