Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
Credit Card Judgements
Without going into all the horrid details, I was left without the ability to pay my credit card bill. They have since filed suit against me and I was served with papers. My question is, can a Credit card company put a lean against your house, attach your wages or take your income tax return? I have all intentions of paying this debt, just was delt a crappy hand for a while. Also do you think it would be beneficial for me to contact the atorneys office and try to resolve something now? Thank you for any help you can offer.

Re: Credit Card Judgements
A lien could be plasced on your home. Wage garnishment is not allowed to collect this type of debt. You may be able to work something otu if you contact the attorney. Having an attorney contact the other side might produce better results. I offer free consultations.
