Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
credit cards
My husband opened a credit card 11 years ago and added his mother as an authorized user. She ran up a $3000 bill and never paid it. At the time he was 18 and unable to pay it himself. We haven't heard anything about it for years and my husband received a call at his work a few days ago in attempt to collect the debt. His mother is refusing to pay. Unfortunately my husband was the primary on the account so it has really damaged his credit. Is there a way to take her to court and sue her for the money to pay this credit card debt?

Re: credit cards
Probably not because the statute of limitations has expired. The good news is that it has expired for the credit card company also.
