Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
Credit Collections
I have multiple cc and have set up payments(debited from my checking acct) with a couple of my cc companies and have been great with working that out with me, but 1 of these cc are not willing and told me that full payment had to be made by the 28th of April. They said they didnt care how i got the money or whom from just that it had to be paid, I responded to them that I don't have that kind of money available or have anyone to turn to(such as my family)and that they would not do payments. They have called several of my family members and harrased them. What can I do?

Re: Credit Collections
The best advice I can give you is to obtain an attorney. Under the Federal Debt and Practices Act debt collectors are restricted as to their tactics. This collection agency may be viotating the Act. There are penalities and attorney fees that can be recovered. Gerald Hershenson Esq.
Re: Credit Collections
This particular collector may be in violation of the Federal Debt Collection and Practices Act by calling others about your debt. There may be other violations as well.
Regardless, if they are in violation, then there is the possibility you could recover damages and attorneys fees if you pursue action against them. This may wipe off all or part of your debt.
You should talk to an attorney as soon as possible. If you wish, give me a call or send me an email.
