Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

debitor settlement agreement with creditors

i am looking for hardship papers to send to my credit card companies for i cant afford to pay them anymore. i find myself in a situation i cant get out from under. plus i would like a debitor settlement agreement. i am willing to pay them and bankruptcy is out of the question. i would like to settle with them for less than what i owe so it doesnt look like i am just walking away from the obligation. i owe 8000.00 in credit card debt and with one person working and seven in family and different expenses coming in. keeping my house and taking care of my kids is first.

can you let me know what forms i will need.

thanks

If bankruptcy is out, then you should either go to a credit counseling agency or hire an attorney to negotiate on your behalf. Many credit card companies will accept half of the amount owed to settle a past due account. I offer free consultations.
