Debt collection
I defaulted on a credit card about 10 years ago due to job loss. This debt was written off by Providian years ago. I am being sued in District Court by a Debt Collection Agency. Do they have a case on a dead debt?

No, but you have to defend it. If you can't afford an attorney at least follow the instructions that you receive and telephone the District Judge to notify him of your intent to defend.
