Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Debt collection

Hello,

I was simply wondering if there is a statute of limitations regarding collection of a debt. If no action has been taken on the part of the collector (aside from monthly statements/reminders), does the debt become invalid after so many years?
