debt collector trying to sue me for a credit card debt I cant pay, last payment on debt in 2007 is there a statue of limitations

Yes. 4 years if this was a PA debt incurred in PA and no other is specified like in the contract.

My advice would be to get up with a lawyer pronto. You only have 20 days to answer the complaint and if you do not properly assert the defense in an answer that is timely filed with the court, the statute of limitations defense is WAIVED - meaning its lost. Better hurry.
