Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Do debt collectors have to accept the money offered to them as a payment, or do you have to pay the amount they have specified? They were told we do not have the amount they want. Can they place a lein on your house?

You do not get to pick how much you are going to pay. That being said, collection agencies are usually pretty easy to beat in court if you hire a consumer attorney. If you are facing a lawsuit, call my office for a free consultation.
