Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

default judgement

husband recieved default judgement.What can they do in Pa. to enforce this. what can they take ,garnish or whatever. We live in an old trailer(value 4000) have $7 in checking account and 2old cars we do not own property trailer is on. Only one income. Judgement amount is $4900.Creditors law firm mentioned sherif sale can they do this?

Depending on the nature of the default judgment there may be a thirty day appeal period. Legal Aid for the County in which you reside may provide legal services for free. The enforcement of a judgment can consist on the Sheriff attaching personal property, cars, furniture etc. Under the law certain property is exempt. Bank Accounts may be attached but wages in most cases can attached. Strongly recommend you seek legal counsel. Gerald Hershenson Esq.
