Re: Email Signature

You asked if an email signature is legal and binding.

Ye. Without question. Any assent to be bound can be construed as a binding "signature."

Even if a document such as an email doesn't actually contain a signature it can still be considered a signature if it has an assent to the offered bargain.

Joes sends me an email: "I'll sell you my 1969 Camaro SS for $500."

I send Joe an email that simply says "Done."

Joe can be held to have signed the offer when he pressed send using an account that can be traced to him. I can be held to accepted Joe's offer when I hit send on my reply.

Regards,

Roger
