Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
my employer started to garnish my wages for a credit card. I'm a resident of Pa and I live in Pa. I also work in Pa. The writ was From Delaware courts system. how can they do this.
the payroll dept sent me this email: Under Delawares choice of law provisions, Delaware law controls in this situation. Therefore, Delaware law on garnishment applies. Cerner does business in, is incorporated in, and was served in Delaware. If the associate wants to object, he may file something in the case pending in Delaware.
I would recommend you provide that full statement to your attorney and they can assist you with the issue moving forward. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns.

I would be more than happy to represent you in this matter for the appropriate fee. However, if you have other debts, you might consider a bankruptcy which would be a simpler, permanent solution.
Very truly yours,
