Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
with the encouragement of my other family members, my deceased mother quit claimed her house to me four months before her death because I had been livein caregiver to her for several years. I paid off the lien she had had from a home equity line of credit. I lived with her for ten years and paid half of the bills, and she would have required assisted living without me. Could her creditors (cards mostly) open my house (which I already paid inheritance tax on) to probate to recover their money. Do I have equal claim in probate should it come to that. House is worth $89000 if sold today. I gifted her 500 dollars a month for ten years (shown on her bank statements)
