Hearing Continuation

If I am suing someone, and don't have enough informattion for the judge, can I ask for a continuation until I get all the paperwork?

You asked about obtaining a continuance.

Yes. You would need to make a formal request through the Prothonotary's office (Clerk). Generally continuances are granted by the prothonotary in the first instance. You should request consent to a continuance from the opposing party (through counsel if they are represented) before presenting your request to the prothonotary.
