Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
A Judement By Default Against Me
I attended Drexel University in 2001 and wound up with a debt. I didn't pay it because I didn't have it. Things worsened and I ended up having lawyers come after me. Finally in 2003 a judgement by default was found against me in the amount of $19,000.00. In the letter I recieved informing me of this judgement, it did not specify any interest that I had to pay on the amount awarded to Drexel. My question is that since it did not explicitly say in the letter stating the judgment that I had to pay interest on the awarded amount to Drexel, is it okay for me to assume that I will not have to pay any interest on the awarded amount to Drexel?
